Using simple popup infrastructure, the agency created 6 new cycle paths within a few weeks.
As noted by Lord Mayor Clover Moore: « As people return to work in the city, with space on public transport limited, active transport will be crucial, », meaning extended sidewalks and segregated temporary cycle tracks are very important to the post-COVID 19 mobility schemes.
To track usage on those new cycle paths, the city has installed 10 mobile bicycle counters. Data collected by our TUBES counters will be helpful in advising the city on the cycle routes with highest attendance, and guiding future evolutions.
